— Defensor Fortis Is Back Out

A few years ago (2003.. Damn Really!) I put out a book called Defensor Fortis.  It was a brief history of the USAF Security Forces and was pretty successful of a project.  Sold thousands of copies and made some good bucks.  I did absolutely no advertising; the project just made it around the Security Forces community by word of mouth.

I took the book out of print because it grew old.  The information and format didn’t include the latest wars and I felt it was hard to read.  I had to update it and I basically broke the entire book down and put it into a more chronological order and made it more logical to read. It has some great pictures throughout and the cover is simplified and meets all of the standards of great cover design… believe it or not, there are rules to covers; just as there are rules to what makes a great photo.  A great photo doesn’t need to be complex.

I also updated the book’s website and made it more user friendly.  If you want to check that out, it is www.defensorfortis.info .  Its got photos from the book as well as some video links that I’ve released.  The book is reasonably priced at 16 bucks and the site links to Amazon.com so I don’t have to do anything. You can find the book at many stores but since it has a limited audience, I expect online purchases to make the bulk of sales.
