— Happy Mothers Day — I love Hot Moms

I was hanging out with a bar watching this Amazing Singer [This is I Love Hot Momsanother plug for my post from 3 days ago -- Nathan Emmans], when this dude was walking by and wearing the funniest shirt I’ve seen in years..  I had to take a pic of it..  Especially in the context that it was mothers day.. I might have to copy this next Mothers Day.

Now you’d think he was a dirtbag, but he was actually with his wife.. who was actually a hot mom who just had a kid in January and was already back to tight, black, tiny dress’.  They were a cool couple.  Those two hands… Right at the nipples.. are his wife’s.

So Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there and to my mom (who I’m sure finds this little part of the web extremely fascinating).

I first ran into this guy at a random beach bar in Honolulu and I think he just takes a song and makes it his own.  After seeing him a couple a time. I kinda started tracking him.  My buddies (Dave and Mariko) and I just planned days we hit some bars based on when he was going to be playing.

The video came out after awhile; I told him I wanted to record him and he said it was cool.  I met up with him at O’Toole’s Irish Pub in Honolulu, Hawaii and took some footage, recorded sound, and posted this 2 days later.  Good Stuff. I hope you like it.  Next time, I want to do a full out music video for another of his songs.  Will keep you posted.  Until then, head over to his website at www.TheArtOfWhimsy.com and support local musicians if you can.

Hope you like it!

— Great Artist — Nathan Emmans — The Art Of Whimsy

I happen to be at a hotel down in Waikiki and heard this musician playing some of the best music I’ve heard in awhile..  He’s a folk singer kinda guy at a time when we all love to hear it.  His name is Nathan Emmans (or Nathan J. Emmans) and his music is what I need.  He plays some good stuff and it put me right where I needed to be. While he was under contract for the Hotel I was visiting he played some covers as well including; I must say.  The best version of Hallelujah I’ve heard since Leonard Cohen.. Seriously!

I’ve found some early footage of him on Youtube; below.  He looks pretty much the same, however, he’s since turn those locks into clean, loose, dreads (as opposed to tight Rastaboy dreads).  He’s also gained a few more years from the below video.  Age brings out the soul in song writers and singers and now he’s pretty ripe.  Its an honor to hear him sing and with the exception of being in Hawaii, he’s definitely got the talent to make it far.   He plays at a couple of places regularly.  One is a resort bar Hale Koa’s, two at Irish pubs (Kelly O’neils & O’tools) , and another laid back bar (Cheeseburger Bar).

Currently, it looks as though He’s also added a Drummer.  I hate to do this but, I don’t remember his name but I “think” its Constantine, or some other cool sounding “C” Name.  No; You know what??  Its “Konrad”. I’ve gotta say, adding a bit of percussion does add something to the performance.  It also gives him a person to Interact with.  I happened to catch thier first gig together and it was worth it.

— Their webpage is The Art Of  Whimsy.com. You can buy the new CD (Live At Higher Ground) , also.. Damn Good for live music.

Go Check him out..  He pretty much rocks..  Someday he’ll get the opportunity and off he’ll go.  The best thing about an artist is when you get to go on a ride with the music and;  I feel good when I listen to him play. Maybe you’ll find a piece of peace (TM) through his music..
